COMMON GROUND MUSIC FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES ADDITIONS TO THE LINE-UP

Lansing, MI— Officials announce final acts for this year’s Miller Lite Concert Series at the Common Ground Music Festival, which will be held July 7 - 13, 2008. The following additional artists will be performing throughout the festival week in Adado Riverfront Park:

The Common Card, general admission seven-day pass is on sale now and is only $85 in advance (and $95 beginning July 1^st), while supplies last!

Single day general admission tickets are on sale now! Individual, single day general admission tickets for Monday, July 7^th, Tuesday, July 8^th, Wednesday, July 9^th, Thursday, July 10^th, Saturday, July 12^th and Sunday, July 13^th are $26 in advance and $32 beginning July 1^st. Individual, single day general admission tickets for Friday, July 11^th are $34 in advance and $39 beginning July 1^st.

NEW! Reserved nightly UPGRADE for the Capital City Airport WEST MAIN STAGE! Only $10 per night! No need to bring a chair, we have your spot reserved! With this upgrade, you get prime seating in the middle of the concert venue. The seats are located next to the sound mixing position, approximately 150’ from the front of the Capital City Airport West Main Stage. Feel free to roam the grounds and enjoy the entertainment and know that your seat will be waiting for you when you are ready to enjoy the show. The section includes approximately 150 seats nightly*. These reserved seats may be purchased as an upgrade to a nightly general admission individual ticket or, as an upgrade for the general admission multiple day pass (Common Card). *You must have a ticket to be seated in this section; a ticket is required for everyone including Children 10 and under.

NEW! For Tuesday, July 8^th, Zappa Plays Zappa and Friday, July 11^th, Lyle Lovett in Concert, RESERVED single day ticket UPGRADE for the Pearle Vision EAST MAIN STAGE! Only $10 per night! No need to bring a chair for Zappa Plays Zappa on Tuesday and Lyle Lovett in Concert on Friday, at the Pearle Vision EAST MAIN STAGE! With this upgrade, you get prime seating for this specific performance at the Pearle Vision EAST MAIN STAGE. The first 11 rows of this performance will be reserved seating*. These reserved seats may be purchased as an upgrade to a nightly general admission individual ticket or, as an upgrade for the general admission, multiple day pass (Common Card). *You must have a ticket to be seated in this section; a ticket is required for everyone including Children 10 and under.

• “The Hard Lessons” Formed in our own backyard, East Lansing, The Hard Lessons, are emerging as a hip garage rock band. They recently won Best Live Band at the 2008 Motor City Music Awards. Their debut album, No Fun Records, was released in 2005 with much success.

Wednesday, July 9, 2008

• “Alter Bridge” Hard rock metal band, Alter Bridge, is comprised of two former members of the band Creed and a bassist and front man. They released their debut album, One Day Remains, in 2004 to many fans liking and continue to produce music that appeals to their following.
• “Fiction Plane” Alternative pop rockers, Fiction Plane, is fronted by Joe Sumner, son of former Police vocalist, Sting. The band released their debut album, Everything Will Never Be OK, in 2003 noting influences as Nirvana and the Smashing Pumpkins.

• “Sick Puppies” Native to Australia, the Sick Puppies, won a radio contest and the rest is history. The band toured the country extensively before deciding that their next move was America. They were signed by Virgin and released their album, Dressed Up As Life, in 2007.

• Again this year, the Common Ground Music Festival will have a night of comedy on the East Main Stage. These are accomplished comedians that have been featured on your favorite morning talk shows, as well as Comedy Central and beyond. Appearing this year will be David Crowe, Geechy Guy, Paul & Storm and Dan St. Paul.
