COMMON GROUND MUSIC FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES CHANGE IN STAGE
Lansing, MI— Officials announce a main stage switch for the Wednesday, July 9th performances at the Common Ground Music Festival located in Adado Riverfront Park. Snoop Dogg, Alter Bridge, and Fiction Plane (originally scheduled on the East Main Stage) will now be performing on the Capital City Airport West Main Stage, and REO Speedwagon and the Zombies featuring Rod Argent and Colin Blunstone (originally scheduled on the West Main Stage) will now be performing on the Pearle Vision East Main Stage. If you previously purchased an upgraded seat location for REO Speedwagon and the Zombies, no worries, the same seats will now be located at the Pearle Vision East Main Stage for this show.
Patrons may want to consider the stage change for these performances, and thus which gate they enter the festival in Adado Riverfront Park on Wednesday. The East Gate entrance, located on the Riverwalk Trail between the Lansing City Market and the Lansing Center is the closest entrance to the Pearle Vision East Main Stage, while the West Gate entrance located at the corner of Grand Avenue and Saginaw (directly across from Lansing Community College) is the closest gate to the Capital City Airport West Main Stage. (Once within the festival grounds, patrons are free to roam Riverfront Park and can access both sides of the park/river and all the stages/shows using the Shiawassee Street Bridge or the pedestrian foot bridge on the north end of Adado Riverfront Park).
Kevin Meyer from Meridian Entertainment Group/Director of the Common Ground Music Festival stated, “Although we cannot exactly predict which stage the fans will end up at (since admission to the festival allows you to see any/all performances on all stages), indications are this switch will be good for the enjoyment and comfort of all our patrons. Upgraded reserved seating for REO and the Zombies will remain the same, just built on the East Main Stage, and the Snoop Dogg, Alter Bridge, Fiction Plane show has quite the “buzz” on the streets, thus we are anticipating a great audience! All in all, a great night at the music festival for all ages and lovers of many genres of music!”
Individual tickets for the Wednesday performances are now $32 and the seven-day pass (Common Card) is still available for only $95. Children age ten and under are free when accompanied by a ticketed adult. All Common Ground Music Festival tickets are limited and still available at the following locations:
