Jackyl :: It’s been nearly 20 years since Jackyl shot out of Georgia with its wild, untamed and uncouth approach to rock ‘n’ roll. Equal parts hard rock, heavy metal and Southern rock. Jackyl’s preponderance to "push the envelope" has gotten them "banned" from Kmart and led to perhaps their best known song "The Lumberjack," which features a chainsaw solo by lead singer Jesse James Dupree, a stunt often performed live. Buckcherry :: From fierce, fast-paced rock tracks to mid-tempo melodies, Buckcherry captures the band’s ability to master a diverse repertoire of songs all of which are amplified during their live show. Emboldened, enriched, inflamed and re-invigorated by the success of 2006s RIAA platinum, Grammy-nominated 15 (which included the monster hit "Sorry"), the hard rockin' California quintet returns with BLACK BUTTERFLY, a 12-song set that strides forward with confidence and an adventurous spirit. Drowning Pool :: Drowning Pool, an all-American anthemic rock band, has persevered through the death of their first singer and losing their second, all the while emerging stronger than ever. Their breakout hit single, "Bodies," flew to No. 6 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock chart back in 2001 but it was 2007s "37 Stitches" which has garnished the group with their highest charting single to date. Adam Lambert :: He may have been crowned runner-up, but all eyes were certainly on Adam Lambert during season eight’s American Idol. Lambert conquered Billboard charts with multiple debuts on the Hot 100 and Hot Digital Songs charts even before last summer’s American Idols Live tour hit the road, but it was his debut release, “For Your Entertainment,” that proved he was more than just a TV star. “Whataya Want From Me,” the album’s breakout single, has a double meaning; one part focuses on navigating a relationship, while the other is a direct message to Lambert’s fans, the public and the media. With a statement like that, it’s not surprisingly also his biggest hit to-date, charting in multiple formats, including mainstream top 40 and adult top 40. Check out Adam Lambert on Youtube!

Orianthi:: Orianthi packs a modern girl-power punch but it’s her shredding that takes her brand of rock to an entirely new level. That kind of energy is to be expected when a 24-year-old guitar luminary has opened for her hero (Steve Vai), backed an Idol (Carrie Underwood), traded solos with a legend (Carlos Santana) and shared the stage with the King of Pop (Michael Jackson). Her debut album, “Believe,” on which she sings, writes and leads her own band, showcases her fierceness of character, attention to detail and staggering music ability. The first single, and “According To You,” is a catchy tale of an ungrateful boyfriend that pairs well with a driving guitar solo. “According To You” is currently No. 6 on Billboard’s Adult Pop Chart. Big Bad Voodoo Daddy :: Their multi-platinum selling sixteen-year career has taken them to their eighth studio album, “HOW BIG CAN YOU GET? A Tribute to Cab Calloway”. Their irresistible live show and aggressive, musically perceptive approach has proven to be the singular standout. Check Big Bad Voodoo Daddy out on YouTube!

Jimmy Cliff:: It's one of life's great ironies that for those outside of reggae circles, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Jimmy Cliff is better known for his film appearances than his music. 1983's “The Power and the Glory” inaugurated his partnership with Kool & the Gang, and the album was nominated for a Grammy. Its follow-up, Cliff Hanger, would win the award in 1985. He returned to the U.S. charts in 1993, when his cover of "I Can See Clearly Now," from the soundtrack for Cool Runnings, glided into the Top 20. More singles and albums have followed and the singer remains a potent musical force and an intergral part of culture and history. Check out Jimmy Cliff on YouTube!

Civil Twilight:: Civil Twilight envelopes you in its multi-layered sound and vision. The band’s name itself a reflection on that in-between time, not quite daylight, not quite darkness, but rather a shifting shade of gray. Their existential questioning and spiritual longing the perfect correlative to the music’s expansive atmospheric soundscapes, at once lush, feverish and exotic like a jungle, with the vast, arid spaciousness of a dessert. Ambitious lyrics from a trio of South African transplants. Check out Civil Twilight on YouTube!

Bret Michaels :: Bret Michaels is, if nothing else, a true survivor. Hoobastank :: When a band has had as much success as Hoobastank, the motivation to top itself must come from within. The album marks a return to the rock roots of the band’s first two releases, 2001’s platinum-plus-selling self-titled debut and 2004’s double-platinum-plus-selling follow-up, The Reason. Alice Cooper :: Being described as a legend in one's own time is certainly a blatantly abused cliché, but no one has taken a vivid imagination and unusual persona to the people with as much controversy and success as Alice Cooper.
