Putt Fore a Prize

Several area businesses have come together to bring back this golf event to benefit the Burcham Hills Foundation, which raises money to assist the Burcham Hills Retirement Community. Located near the West Sand Bar, the Putt Fore a Prize Grand Putting Challenge will be open all week long from
5:30 pm until 8:30 pm.


Cost for Putt Fore a Prize: 3 shots for $5 • 8 shots for $10 • 20 shots for $20

The Option 1 Credit Union GRAND PUTTING CHALLENGE

Monday, July 7, 2008 through July 13, 2008
 

  • Putt for a chance to win $2,500 each night, AND on Sunday, putt for a Lund 1625 Rebel XL SS Boat or a HARLEY DAVIDSON XL 1200 or a Sun Chaser 18ft Cruise Model Pontoon!

  • To qualify for the evening putt-off the participant must make a 25-ft. putt.

  • All of the evening’s qualifiers will participate in a shoot-out to get down to the last putter.

  • Each evening the last putter with a hole-in-one or the last putter closest to the pin will shoot a 50-ft. putt for a $2,500.00 cash prize. The contestant must sink the 50-ft. putt to win the $2,500.00 cash prize!

  • Regardless if he/she makes the 50-ft. putt or not, this individual qualifies for the Sunday Night Shoot-Out!

  • The seven (7) finalists (Monday – Sunday) will have a shoot-out! The last person closest to the pin or the last person with a hole-in-one will have one (1) putt from 50 feet. If the finalist makes the 50-ft. putt, he/she has a choice of a Lund 1625 Rebel XL SS 16ft Boat, or a Harley Davidson XL 1200 Motorcycle, or a Sun Chaser 18ft Cruise Model Pontoon Boat!

General Rules for the Grand Putting Challenge
  • Contestants will qualify for the elimination round by putting from 25 feet. If you make one (1) putt, you will come back at 8:30 pm for the elimination round.
  • The elimination round will start at approximately 8:30 pm.
  • Contestants in the elimination round will shoot a 30-foot putt, and will eliminate down to one (1) person putting for the trip.
  • The final contestant will shoot a 50-foot putt.
  • The pin placement will be changed prior to the 50-foot putt.
  • All attempts will be videotaped.
  • One witness is required who is a non-participant and at least 21 years
  • of age.
  • If a Hole-In-One occurs, the winner will be awarded their prize approximately 6-8 weeks from the date of the contest.
  • Competitors must be insured under the correct designation as Amateurs. Amateurs are as defined in The Rules of Golf (Rules of Amateur Status) as approved by the United States Golf Association (USGA).
